Huddersfield FreeTownBus was launched in partnership with Kirklees Metropolitan Council in October 2006 and within five weeks had broken the 1,000 passengers-a-day barrier. It’s 1.5 mile route links key town centre locations including the bus and rail stations, Huddersfield University, the Kingsgate Centre and the indoor and outdoor markets. Buses run every ten minutes from 7.30am to 6.30pm Monday to Friday and from 8.30am to 5.30pm on Saturdays.
